My financial situation has changed. What can I do to see if I qualify for more financial assistance?

Solution

The Office of Financial Aid will consider special circumstances, which may affect your need, on a case-by-case basis.

Reasons that may be considered for a Special Circumstances Review include:

loss of income due to layoff
disability
divorce
separation or loss of untaxed benefits
death of spouse (independent students or parents (dependent student)Please contact the Financial Aid Office at fa@pccc.edu if you feel you have an extreme situation that may allow for a Special Circumstances Review.

The student will need to speak with a Financial Aid Counselor to determine the documents to submit for:

special circumstances
dependency override
professional judgment
